p.s

quite CDG? i lovelovelovelove this so much, the juxtapose of all the layers of different types of fabric, the lines and the curves and the shapes, the matt/ metallic and the colours in the collection. it's like each piece of clothing is fighting with itself, or like jigsaw clothing.

aah, i love the sheer top and the heavy black + metal idea, and the heavy metal and the shapes in this line, i dont know why but it makes me feeel kind of nostalgic? non-sensical, and most likley not what im "supposed" to think when i see these but oh well.
YES.

central st. martins at london fashion week
love it aaalll
&

nathan jenden is just so unbearably cool that this collection makes me feel like an idiot. i think it's the sunglasses and the rockabillyesque hair (and the clothes...) to be honest. the paper/ origami pieces from the collection are amazing sculptural pieces, and i loveee the black skirt. and the bondage-y grey trouser suit which i think looks like a kind of toned down trouser version of the boots at rodarte. want/need the black mesh top dresss. I like the way the fabrics are layered onto each other but in a kind of subtle, sculptural way in a lot of these pieces.

i definately should stop wrtiting copious amounts on how i feel about each individual item at FW.

currently loving: peter dohertys sense of style as he has some sort of johnny cash/ funeral director/ dark cowboy thing going on:

currently depressing over: the cost of a summer trip to europe and the money that is being saved from buying pretty things

although i have been becoming increasingly tempted to buy some dr martins... for like a fiver on ebay, it might happen. and it might happen soon, that's all i'm saying...

fashion week vs. five news

i properly loved the mens marc by marc jacobs, the fit of the trousers and the shoes are just so cool, and the khaki/greys/blues/tweed with all the colourful knit- love/want the pink and orange jumper. I quite liked a lot of the cynthea steffe collection but especially the whole look of the that^ gold sequin dress, the cuts/folds in the fabric with the black net and the hatthings and the dark lips/ pale skin.

bloody lovee the studded collar on that^ shirt at phillip lim and i pretty much just like the light colours in the whole collection with the contrasting black (especially the gloves) and the folds in the fabric. The patterns in matthew williamson are just so mindblowingly kaelidescope meets africa that i cant physically not fall in love with the diamond pattern dresses and their 2-d state, whoaaa.

piewgf the knit+ the fabrics+ the electric blues and greens with the black and the grey and the straps, and the matt and the shiny-ness and THE BOOTS/ gloves/ everything, at rodarte is too much for my poor brain to handle, best left to people who can handle so much amazing rodarte goodness while i look away and calm down

so far at LFW looks AMAZING, central saint martins collection/ danielle scutt/ luella/ peter jensen/ nathan jenden/ too much to handle!

dream home(s) <333

top bubbletecture by shuhei endo/ bottom the most ecofriendly house ever

the top building is made from glass and wood, i think the colours are really rustic and old, but the lines and the shapes are so modern and hard. the bottom one is just a living house, i looove it! if i owned it i would plant loads of tropical flowers all over it or put pattens in it, or grow massive bushes and sculpture the house into a totally different bubble shape.

Here's to crazy girls with bowl cuts and amazing dress sense

I heard today that the Yeah yeah yeahs are releasing a new album! Excitment! I was on their website and found a link to the American costume designer christian joy, who's designed lots of stage outfits for Karen O. He's currently holding an exhibition at the AVA in New York.
Loaaads of wonderfulness surrounding Joy, her new collection is based on stories about "aliens coming down to earth and their subsequent lives." I really like the layers and the structure and the whole general wow factor of the stage outfits- and her new collection which seems to be kind of cowgirl space age <333, I am a total sucker for stage outfits though.. the whole Elton John/ ziggystardustisgod/ punk/ bondage thing...all good times.

out of the dark

my final piece for my tech art project. as forementioned here, back when my hands were blistered and chapped from vrc paper cuts, im almost exstatic to say that i never have to make another one in my life. The project was based baasically on recycling, the bodice part is made of cardboard. the shoes in the photos are from topshop and their fringed and i love them!
